Professional Pest Management Alliance - The PPMA turned contributions of just over a million dollars into 1.8 million dollars of advertising value in 2002, with paid advertisements and public service announcements seen on CNN, CNN Headline News, and the HGTV network, as well as some local television stations. Also, oJune 3 at 10 pm on the History Channel, a show called Modern Marvels will feature the history of the pest management industry.  Won't you join the industry leaders by becoming a PPMA "Guardian" by contributing 0.1% of your pest management revenues to PPMAin order to tell our story, champion our role as protectors of health and property, and promote the industry by encouraging the use of professional services to solve pest problems?

Members are also encouraged to support Pi Chi Omega's "Butterflies and Bees" project, a joint venture between Pi Chi Omega (the professional fraternity of the pest management industry), the World Wildlife Federation and the Heifer Project.  Thirty dollars buys a hive, which can have the impact of providing a livelihood for poor Mexican families and also protect the winter habitat of the monarch butterflies. The goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of summer.  What a wonderful way to show our industry's commitment to protection of the environment, and also to solicit public support for this type of an endeavor.  Perhaps a school class near you would love to adopt a hive!  Check with Chris Arnold or Russ Ives for information.
